I'd been writing boring sticky notes on his charts for two years and then, last fall, I needed a break at my desk and decided to get silly with the post-it, and ever since, we've been writing post-its back and forth three times a week. I finally got around to photographing them all and have been sharing them on Instagram, but I thought it'd be fun to share here, as well.
Something to keep in mind before seeing these, my request to Pig to write up his charts is, for the most part at the top part of the post-it, and his response is generally at the bottom. Some post-its are two or three or four different pieces of little paper so I haven't figured out the best way to share those, but I'm working on it.
This is the first one ever. I used to doodle these little yoga people on notes at Executive Traveler, and my Editor-in-Chief there always got a big kick out of them.
(I love the little weapons the trees are holding; makes me laugh every time I see this one.)
And another yoga doodle:
Pig calls this one the "stealthy balloon animal hunter"
Awesomely fantastical:
Liberty Bell:
Bloods vs. Crips:
(my favorite thing about this one is the portion of the wheelchair just off the right side)
3rd Grade-Style Cursive:
(The use of red pen to "grade" his writing cracks me up every time I see this one!)
Be prepared for more posts like this. Just sayin'.
